J.Earl Mansur, LPC
J.Earl has lived several decades and worked in other people-focused fields -- broadcasting, mission work in Italy, and teaching English -- and chose to enter counseling in his mid 30's through the avenue of systems theory that is foundational to Marriage & Family Therapy. He began his counseling career working for three years in a psychiatric hospital. He then spent 17 years as a therapist in community mental health where on any given day a professional may be dealing with a dangerous crisis or a person who has been making life better through many years of regular sessions.
Practically speaking, these 20 years of therapy experience with thousands of persons ranging from 5 to 80 years old have made him into an expert at dealing gently, fearlessly, professionally, and effectively with almost any client whether by individual, couples or family therapy. He pays special attention to matters of relationships and trauma and is trained in EMDR.
